Do mathematical objects are discoveries or symbolic buildings? TV-porters

Rojer Penrose relying on Plato responds like that mathematical objects are something more than mere inventions and has a previous existence, ethereal, pre, immaterial, timeless and universal, both under this, mathematical objects have a metaphysical existence therefore exist independently of the human mind, so consider those who advocate math discoveries.

A clear example would be the Pythagorean theorem is not an invention but a discovery of the eternal relationship between their legs and the hypotenuse of a right triangle the object being considered an object that exists in reality itself intangible , eternal and abstract. Instead

Bertrand Russell and others respond that mathematical objects are symbolic constructions of the mind without metaphysical, this is known as constructivism.

Where Can I Purchase Island Oasis

The myth of the cave is an allegory Plato to explain their conception of reality and knowledge, and characterized it hard and builds through this medium to explain. The myth of the cave is composed of four phases, always comparing it to the reality of being human. The first two it is the doxa and the next two of the episteme.
First find some prisoners chained and forced to do throughout his life a series of shadows that are projected by some carriers that are hidden behind a high wall where prisoners can not see the shadows and reflected by a fire is more away from the carriers. This part of the cave is symbolizing the ignorance of humanity. The prisoners are all those who are guided and create happy to get carried away by their senses and perceptions. But the reality is that carriers, who view them as the media, teach us what they want. We are the information society, and due to its abundance believe we are well informed, which leads to a happy life that we consider. But we are confident that as well?
live with that report, although this is true or not. It is easier to think so, so most continue with that path, and not by the way it costs us time to work and stop being ignorant and can fend for itself (third phase of analogy of the cave, where a prisoner escapes to view reality through a long, hard way.) We are "condemned" to know what they want us to know, even if they also are, and they should give us that false information. So I think that society today should reflect on their happiness, if it is caused by what really makes them happy or what the media want you to be happy.
This video clearly shows a reality of our society:

The Global Justice

Despite its appearance, the Platonic Idea of Justice is much more present in our global society it seems. How else explain the existence of international tribunals ?

international courts of justice are those that apply a set of common laws in most countries, in an attempt to globalize justice. And this reminds a bit to the idea of justice. Why can not achieve greater harmony and greater common good, if not globally. Of course, there are courts in every nation, country or individual region, with its own laws than those elsewhere. Are not these courts a clear example of the copy (better or worse) of the Idea of justice, represented by the international tribunal? And, the courts are hierarchical, like the ideas. At the top we have the International Tribunals (located in The Hague), slightly below the constitutional t ourts of each country, downhill a little higher courts justice of each region and the base (holding all other) local courts. If we analyze qualitatively justice at different levels can be seen clearly that as we climb the justice is better, until the last level is universal. Universal justice which undoubtedly is responsible for maintaining harmony and ensuring the overall good.

's why it's important that we preserve the international legal institutions, and make an effort to unify all the laws so that there are many and contradictory, but one and true.
