Before to address the review itself, go with some history (excerpted from Wikipedia): Enriqueta Martí, born in 1868 and died in 1913, was a serial killer, kidnapper and child pimp. Popularly known as the Carrer de Ponent vampire or vampire Barcelona. During the day I used to beg accompanied by children who passed for their children and, at night, were cruelly murdered or prostitutes. Many infants have disappeared without trace and is believed she is the culprit.

Harriet was incarcerated in Queen Amalia awaiting trial. Attempted suicide by slashing his wrists with a wooden knife, which sparked popular outrage because people wanted to go to trial Enriqueta. But it never got that chance. One year and three months after his arrest and after the outrage, it was his death. His fellow prisoners was killed by lynching in a courtyard of the prison. The kidnapper and killer died early May 12, 1913, officially a long illness, but the reality as a result of a brutal beating.

The vampire Ponent Street, Enriqueta Martí

I extracted the text of the wikipedia to avoid giving details concerning the various murders, mostly for not gutting all of the novel.

Regarding "Poor woman " go ahead itself is a luxury for anyone who writes you have known the author personally and have his book "drawing-spent."

Some authors are content to raise eighty thousand letters and topped with another title or less marketable, the same way that there are others who seek the right word, the metaphor needs to be coated in the best literature in the novel in question. Of course, Pastor Marc is one of these authors. Special care home setting, without a doubt one of the qualities that adorn this work: the alleys of the Gothic quarter, the houses so petty dimensions such as electricity, the Barcelona of the early twentieth century .... It is a sordid and cruel, it is unclear if more sordid and cruel by killings by Enriqueta Martí or the connivance of the Catalan gentry, which followed shows nervous about the investigation up to their places of leisure and away from brothels and seedy nightclubs.

The author Marc Pastor

The framers of the research are Moises and Juan unhealthy Corvo, two políacias of race, far from intimidated to the head (this is dedicated to tripping its work, if not to hinder it) insist on its findings at the risk of his own physical integrity.

stabbing of dialogues with a first-person narrator is not to dislodge the more confused (some of these moments are fabulously written), "The bad woman" is a crime novel dosing information as well as the tension so masterful.

In short, highly recommended for all lovers (foodies) of black genre, and for those who are not, because they will find a work that accurately reflects an era now lost forever.
