Review:
I love vampire novels and everything that has to do with them, for that reason I decided to read "Mihai, my story with a Strigoi" part of why the author is a dear friend. This review will not be very extensive, and I do not want to reveal anything of substance who has not read yet.
From the beginning I was interested in the novel, both the history of Mihai like Lorraine caught my attention. The story is told through the eyes of its two stars, mingling with many flaskback Mihai's past, which reveals the whole story from his birth, Strigoi race, to the present day where he met Lorraine.
As in every story ever there are negative characters reprsentan the worst of mankind. This is Ivan, Mihai-brother, by which you can not help feeling sorry, and Dimitrie, which since its first appearance keeps falling off evil. Highlight
all historical data contained in the novel, and the emphasis that the author has made them to take care of every detail to make out any slack. Macu
writing is direct, without great fanfare. His characters speak in a natural and fresh, especially Lorraine, expressed according to their age. It is true that despite these virtues, I missed the odd metaphor, which used to adorn more literary passages.
Under the guise of a novel Strigois over Vampires and hides a work reporting the abuse and exploitation of women, not in vain because this is the main theme of the work, apart from a sad love story between two protagonists. It is ultimately a book that reads fast, agile and dynamic, recommended to anyone who likes a good story with a background that goes beyond what you would expect from a genre novel.
But let not the author (whom we thank for the kindness of his words) that we explain some peculiarities of the novel.
>> Describe the protagonists of Mihai (without desverlar nothing of his argument ... lol) and what you feel when you create them. Mainly say I really enjoyed creating them. Each has its own personality and even the bad is quite clear from the beginning, some lines have a touch of sensitivity. Like the good, that in a moment of reading we thought that maybe are not so. I especially liked the Father Dimitrie create a being greedy and evil to which he may hate from the moment it appears. In each episode shown on stage, suggests that something is going right and what makes things interesting. Mihai On not clear which are your feelings or if you really have. It is quite unpredictable. I think that a creature like that must have enough mystery to the end and make us want to completely undress to show us as it truly is. If I had done in this first part, or has intervened much more than what has been seen in the novel, would have lost the charm. I think I've gotten people, when they finish the book, ask me what happened? O but why? And that was my intention in this novel is the first I've pubis. Someone showing interest in knowing what will happen to all the questions that were in the air, is something that makes you think that history has not left indifferent. About Lorraine need to know that even co-star, is also the connecting link between all the characters and worlds that arise. She thinks, acts, things and follows first-person account. Sometimes the reader, expected to know things and details that she then will make or discover, you would like to warn you of what is wrong and the many problems that will come up. The way they speak and act seems appropriate in a girl her age. And I always thought, when he wrote the pages where it appears, how I could express myself when I was that age. I think it quite credible. Another character that I think is relevant is that of Ivan. Although his appearances show different stages of their lives, and where we get to soften and sometimes provoke a smile, it is clear that we will also learn to hate. I think a character who, in the shadow of Mihai, could give much play in the second half.
>> Tell us about Mihai and the creation process (the search data and information ... etc) I started writing
being very clear what he wanted. The time you spent was only that I left my job, which by then had me totally absorbed. And that time I used it at night until the wee hours. When I was most inspired and the ideas flowed, he had to leave them in the air aware that the next day I had my work and personal obligations. Then I had to wait again in the evening to tidy up my ideas and that was despair at times. It was almost a strigoi;) could only operate at night. Looking information for certain historical episodes or when you see the life he has touched every character through the years, I discovered new information then used to introduce the plot and made me return back and forth a lot of things changing to make sense and coherence. Tiny tin she gave me ... Even where the novel begins, or where they are going have an explanation will be seen in the second half and making connections was a real pain but what I enjoyed. with matters related to the jaw I must say that was a real chance to find a story I read on the net and I found interesting. That is another subject that the reader doubts arise. Also, when I inquired where it came from, it was for me as a sign that prompted me to enter into the plot. In fact, is like a personal talisman. Tell us
the next delivery, when will and what we expect from the next?
I talked to the editor and we stayed in this April would send the manuscript completely finished. I miss very few things but I do not want to run too in order to conform with a date because that's not good, and as I do not feel harassed in any way, if I must take more time, I will. I think that writing should not become a race to get published in record time and am amazed when I see authors who throw up to three works in less than a year. I could not, honestly. If after sending the manuscript corrections are made and other layout tasks and printing, hopefully in September is back in bookstores. I just hope that this last and final delivery is to the liking of those who have bothered to buy and read my book. I will never have words to thank all those people the support they have given me from the beginning. That's all that really matters to me.
Thanks for your time, Macu, we said goodbye to waiting for that second part of the work, which hopefully will not take too long to arrive in bookstores.
